Divisions & Age Groups
Instructional
Age 5-7, generally Grades K–1An introductory division for players in grades K and 1. Consists of tee and coach pitch using a 10 inch compression ball. Players are taught the basics of softball and team sportsmanship. Games take place on weekend mornings and practices are held once a week. Offered in the Spring.
AA Division
Age 7-8, generally Grades 2–3Advances the fundamentals learned in Instructional. Uses an 11" compression softball with coach pitching. Each batter gets a maximum of 7 pitches or 3 swinging strikes. Three outs and extra base hits. If the ball reaches the 125 foot cone line, runners can advance until an infielder has possession. Offered in Fall and Spring.
AAA Division
Age 9-10, generally Grades 4–5Uses an 11" softball with players pitching from 35 feet. Builds on fundamentals and includes bunting, stealing, and sliding. On average, teams have 2 games and 1 practice per week on weekdays and weekends. All Spring players must attend an evaluation session. Offered in Fall and Spring.
Majors Division
Age 10-12, generally Grade 5 and upUses a 12" softball with players pitching from 40 feet. A higher level of play with 2 games and 1 practice per week on weekdays and weekends. All Spring players must attend an evaluation session. Offered in Spring; hoping to expand to Fall 2027 with enough players and coaches.
